WorkReady Speech Language

Our Approach

Individualized. Functional. Real-World.
1
What We Do
Practical skills for real life.
Teens and young adults build communication skills for work, independence, and everyday adult life. Individual goals guide meaningful practice with interviews, workplace conversations, community interactions, and situations they need to navigate.
2
What We Work On
Understanding and being understood.
Clients build skills to understand unfamiliar vocabulary, follow directions, organize thoughts, explain problems, and answer unexpected questions. Practice also includes asking for clarification and interpreting tone of voice, facial expressions, and other nonverbal cues.
3
Self-Advocacy
Recognizing Your Needs. Making Your Voice Heard.
Clients learn to recognize when they need support and communicate those needs clearly. They practice asking for help, expressing preferences, setting boundaries, and speaking up when expectations are unclear across work, community, and everyday situations.
4
The RoleSwitching™ Framework
Flexible. Authentic. Confident.
Clients learn to adjust their tone, word choice, and level of detail to fit different people, settings, and expectations while communicating with confidence and staying true to their own voice.
